This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and is subject to the Terms and Conditions set out on GP-TV.ORG . 1. Information GP-TV.ORG collects

  • Surname
  • Town
  • Known name
  • Membership number
  • Email address.

All data is provided directly from the Sovereign Publications and stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

GP-TV.ORG also logs non-personally-identifiable information including IP address, profile information, aggregate user data, and browser type, from Users of GP-TV.ORG . This data is used to manage the website, track usage and improve the website services. This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to members. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes.

2. How GP-TV.ORG uses information

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping.
  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We use reasonable measures to protect User information that is stored within our database and we restrict access to User information to those employees who need access to perform their jobs. We cannot however guarantee the security of User account information and unauthorised entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of User information at any time.

4. How we use cookies

6. Controlling your personal information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

  • whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for direct marketing purposes

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

7. Changes to our privacy policy

We may occasionally make changes to our Privacy Policy. If we make any changes we will post them to GP-TV.ORG to make Users aware of the changes made. A User is bound by any minor changes to the policy when he/she uses GP-TV.ORG after those changes have been posted to it. However, if we are going to use Users' personally identifiable information in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify by posting a notice on GP-TV.ORG for 30 days.

8. Third party advertising

GP-TV.ORG  allows other companies to serve advertisements within GP-TV.ORG. These third party ad-servers use technology to send, directly to your browser, the advertisements and links that appear on GP-TV.ORG and they automatically receive your IP address when this happens. GP-TV.ORG does not provide any personally identifiable information to these third party ad servers without your consent. 9. Chat rooms, message boards and forums

The GP-TV.ORG Sites are hosted in England and are intended for and directed to Users in England. If you are a User accessing GP-TV.ORG from the any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure, that differ from English laws, please be advised that through your continued use of GP-TV.ORG, which are governed by English law, this Privacy Policy, and our Terms and Conditions, you are transferring your personal information to England and you consent to that transfer.
