Mike Ramsden – Chief Executive of the NAPC
He became Chief Executive of Wakefield Family Health Services Authority in 1989 and then Chief Executive of Leeds Family Health Services Authority in 1992.
He was then appointed as Chief Executive of Leeds Health Authority in 1999, a position he held until the reorganisation of the service in 2002.
In 2002 Mike left the NHS to become a Director of two companies specialising in consultancy and management services. As the same time he established Smartrisk Foundation (UK), a charity focussed on preventing injuries, particularly amongst children.
Mike was appointed as Chief Executive of NAPC in October 2007.
Maggie Marum – Management Consultant to NAPC
Maggie has been working as an independent management consultant to the NAPC since its inception. Together with Executive members she provides advice and support to the wider membership, organises events and produces publications.
Maggie also carries out consultancy work for health related organisations including the Department of Health and other bodies. In the past Maggie had been a Director of Primary Care in a FHSA, as well as a Regional Director in the South West. Her career includes 17 years in the Department of Health, including 4 years as a Liaison Officer for 18 FPCs in a performance management role. In her spare time, Maggie has been a volunteer counsellor in Cirencester. She can also be said to be passionate about primary care, classical music, theatre, cinema, good food and foreign travel.
Roy Lilley – Independent Health Expert
He is now an established, independent health policy analyst, writer, broadcaster and commentator on health and social issues. Previously, a Visiting Fellow at the Management School, Imperial College London. Formerly at the Centre for Health Services Management at the University of Nottingham. He also provides consultancy to NHS organisations and the companies that have services and products for the health service.
Dr Nav Chana
Dr Nav Chana is a GP at the Cricket Green Medical Practice in Mitcham, Surrey. He is currently Chairman of Integrated Primary Care Commissioning.
He is also a Senior Lecturer at St. George's University of London and Associate Director for Postgraduate GP Education for the London Deanery."
Janet Fitzgerald- Programme Director, World Class Commissioning, South Central PCTs
Janet is a former Primary Care Manager of seven years standing and CEO of Reading PCT. Janet Fitzgerald is now Programme Director for World Class Commissioning for South Central PCTs. Janet is former Vice Chair to NAPC, and remains on its Executive Committee.
