About GPtv
Launched jointly by the National Association of Primary Care and Sovereign Publications, GPtv is an online web based TV channel created specifically to service the needs of UK primary care professionals.
The channel contains regularly updated video based content including:
- Reports on industry-wide issues such as Integrated Care and Practice Based Commissioning
- Clinical information
- Advice on practice management issues
- Continuing professional development
GPtv offers a dynamic and totally new opportunity to be able to visually demonstrate to your audience the benefits of your products and services via ‘case studies’ and product based ‘infomercials’.
Designed to be user friendly, GPtv is a daily reference source for primary care professionals and an easy to use indexing system will ensure your promotional material is accessible for as long as you desire.
A number of the videos included on the site have been produced specifically for GPtv, but the channel also provides a cost effective platform to broadcast existing training and information videos on subjects of interest to GPs and other primary care professionals.
THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PRIMARY CARE (NAPC)
The NAPC was formed as the result of a merger between the National Association of Fundholding Practices (NAFP) and the Association of Independent Multifunds (AIM). The organization, both in its original guise and in its current role, offers support and advice to its members and also holds routine discussions with Ministers for Health and their officials, with a view to influencing policy on the future direction of primary care.
The NAPC believes the future of primary care lies in service redesign, public and patient engagement as well as in the Practice Based Commissioning scheme, which it enthusiastically supports. The Association is heavily involved in meetings with Government to assist in removing some of the barriers to the operation of the scheme, brought about by the reconfiguration of Primary Care Trusts and some of its personalities.
